Alternatively, you may want to consider in-ear headphones, or ‘earphones’. While they don’t provide the same level of audio quality as over-ear cans, they are much more portable and convenient, making them more practical for using on the go. They also tend to be more affordable.

You may want to buy headphones that are wired, usually connecting via a cable with a jack or mini jack connection. Alternatively, you may want to consider wireless headphones, which usually connect via Bluetooth. Once again, this is a trade-off between portability and convenience, with wired jack headphones providing better audio fidelity than wireless. However, cables can easily get in the way if you’re on the move – and many modern devices like smartphones are eschewing the good old jack connection entirely.
