Storage Options
this unit offers a range of different storage options to best suit your specific workflow depending on whether you require more speed or backup security. You can opt for RAID 0 which offers excellent read and write performance but, is not fault-tolerant meaning if one drive fails, all data in the RAID 0 array are lost. Or, you could use RAID 50 that combines distributed parity (RAID 5) with striping (RAID 0), resulting in great write performance along with increased data protection as well as fast rebuild times than RAID 5. This hard drive is all about professionalism and making your life as easy as possible. To do so, LaCie has incorporated various connection points for different cable and system types. This includes a USB 3.0 hub on the front of the unit that allows you to charge your phone, connect a portable hard drive or your digital camera. The front of the unit is also equipped with an SD and CompactFlash card slot. These of course allow you to directly transfer your fresh images and videos as soon as you’ve finished capturing them.
The rear of the unit features more options for you to transfer data and connect to your computer or laptop. There’s a USB 3.1 port that provides compatibility with USB-C and USB 3.0 devices via the included adapter cable. Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
