The Nikon D300s follows on from the high standard set by the D300 and brings HD movie capability, 12.3 megapixels, a faster frame advance rate of 7fps and dual CF and SD memory card slots to this level of the Nikon line-up. The D300s takes DSLR HD movie capture further by adding external stereo sound input for more realistic movie soundtracks, autofocus capability and in-camera movie editing. The camera's Multi CAM 3500 DX AF sensor module offers an exceptionally wide area of AF coverage with 51 AF points strategically positioned across the frame. D-Movie with stereo microphone terminal
The D300S comprehensively extends DSLR HD movie capture by adding external stereo sound input, autofocus capability and in-camera movie editing. External stereo microphone support adds more realistic sound to shooting movie clips, and a new dedicated LV button makes switching between stills and movies easier than ever. In-camera movie clips can be edited by simply selecting the start and stop points during playback.
51-point AF system - superior accuracy, amazing speed
The cameras Multi CAM 3500 DX AF sensor module offers an exceptionally wide area of AF coverage. With 51 AF points strategically positioned across the frame, its designed to capture the subject accurately, even when its movement is unpredictable. The D300S offers three AF area modes - Dynamic-area AF, Single-point AF and Autoarea AF.
Approx. 100% viewfinder frame coverage
You want everything in your frame to count, so the D300S offers approximately 100% viewfinder frame coverage with an eyepoint of 19.5mm (at -1.0 m-1) to make accurate composition easier.

The EXPEED image processing system delivers Nikons acclaimed image quality criteria of rich accurate colours, smooth skin gradations, exceptional detail with the minimum of noise, with all of the flexibility of Nikons exclusive Picture Control system to manage the look and feel of the images.
Dual card slots for CF/SD memory cards
The D300S offers the choice of dual storage media standards; CF (Compact Flash) and SD (Secure Digital) with options to manage how the camera records data to them. For example, the user can elect to store stills to one format and movie clips to another.
Magnesium alloy body with anti-dust and moisture sealing
The camera employs a strong-yet-lightweight magnesium alloy for its exterior cover, chassis and mirror box, and securely seals major seams and joints against invasive dust and moisture.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
