The Alan 2.0 builds off what made its predecessor great. It continues the theme of versatility and resilience, making it the ideal monopod for those photographing and capturing video in the field. The Alan 2.0 does, however, feature some upgrades that elevate it that bit further. This includes a newly designed and beautifully crafted contoured Tri-mount plate. To improve grip there are now parallel leg locks and a tactile foam grip. Finally, redesigned anti-rotation shims, or "Chicken Lips", have been used to improve overall stability and rigidity.
That's right, this monopod is super-compact and lightweight. It has a maximum height of 1.48m and folds down to just 44cm. And because of the lightweight carbon fibre and aircraft-grade alloy construction, it only weighs 615g which is perfect for packing away when you're on route to your next shoot location. What's more is, despite the monopods compactness and lightweight frame, it can hold up to a huge 60kg of kit making it ideal for those sport, action and wildlife photographers or hefty videography gear.
Designed for Convenience
The Alan 2.0 is equipped with a range of features that provide convenience and therefore, efficiency to you, the user. Providing long-lasting comfort, there's 3 Legged Thing's Big Grip that is ergonomic and includes deep channels that are specifically designed to disperse moisture in wet weather. It features the incredibly useful contoured Tri-Mount plate that allows you to attach a range of accessories for quick access. Finally, each end of the monopod features a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 thread that allows you to attach, for example, a microphone so that the monopod can be used as a boom pole.
Docz2 Foot Stabiliser
The Docz2 foot-spreader has been designed to be the ultimate stabiliser for monopods, providing enhanced stability and makes for more effective shooting - It can even be used as a mini tripod. A single boot on the underside preventing the spreader from over flexing under the weight of heavy gear. Additionally, it has an adjustable drag that can be tailored to best suit your practice, and a dual lock still stop all movement. Finally, the unit features a ball machined from aircraft-grade magnesium alloy that makes for smooth movements without juddering.

Can you mount a ball head to this monopod?
This monopod has a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 thread on top which allows for any tripod head to be attached.
Will this fit in my rucksack?
The monopod folds down to just 44cm so should be able to fit in a rucksack or attach to a tripod strap on the outside of your kit bag.
Will this hold my Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS III USM Lens and Canon 5D Mark IV?
By all means - This monopod can hold a maximum of 60kg so can easily hold this camera lens setup.
