This Flat Field Tele Extender's 4-element optical design minimises field curvature, and allows for excellent colour correction. It is particularly suitable for high resolution lunar imaging, making mosaics easier to match at the edges with less distortion, and offering better colour correction over as much of the field as possible.

A Tele-Extender is a type of Barlow which does not change magnification factor if you vary the distance between the eyepiece or camera and the Tele-Extender unit, so it's ideal for consistent astrophotography results, if you add a filter wheel for example.

Most high power eyepieces have short eye-relief (distance between eyepiece and eye), making them difficult to use with eyeglasses and less comfortable generally. However, with these units, you can use low power eyepieces at high power, while maintaining the same eye-relief.
