Photokina - The Epson and Wacom Stands: Printers and Tablets

Photokina is the world's biggest photographic and imaging trade show. It is being held in the Cologne Exhibition Centre, the Kölnmesse, from September 21st to the 26th, and a team from Wex Photographic have travelled to Germany to see what new and exciting products are being announced and on display at Photokina.

For the benefit of any of you that are interested in the Photokina happenings, but didn't want to travel to Germany, weren't able to go to Germany, or, like some of us, had to stay behind and work while your colleagues went to Germany, we will be updating you with all the latest goings-on via the WEX blog and Twitter. What's more, in an exciting new venture for WEX, we will be bringing you a visitor's-eye view of some of the stands and products in the form of WEX TV video clips!

So, keep coming back to the WEX blog and we'll update you with the latest information, news and videos as they come in.

The Epson Stylus Pro 4900 and 7890

Epson have been at the forefront of digital printing more or less since it first arrived in our homes and offices. Their range of models include desk-top printers for use in the home or small office, right up to large, stand-mounted wide-format printers for professional reproduction use.

In this video the Wex Photographic team visit the Epson stand at Photokina and talk to Martin Johns about the launch of two new professional inkjet printers, the A2 Stylus Pro 4900 with its 10 colour ink set and the A1 Stylus Pro 7890.

Wacom Cintiq, Intuos and Bamboo graphics tablets

Photographers, designers and digital artists will all be aware of how much easier it can be to use a graphics tablet for delicate digital manipulation or retouching work, rather than using a mouse. And many of those same photographers, designers and digital artists will no doubt already be using Wacom graphics tablets in their homes, studios and businesses.

The Wex Photographic team in Cologne at Photokina talk to Guido Möller on the Wacom stand about their range of professional graphics tablets, including the Cintiq and Intuos models, before moving on to Görn Van Ahlen who tells us all about the Wacom Bamboo consumer tablets.
