And all of a sudden it's here. Today Nikon launched their hotly anticipated, new, fabulous, high-end professional digital SLR, the Nikon D3x. With twice the number of photosites on its sensor than that of the Nikon D3, the Nikon D3x features a 24.5 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, a broad ISO range, Live View and 50MB 14-bit NEF (RAW) files, amongst other things. You can find a full list of specifications and further details on the Wex Photographic Nikon D3x page.
"This is the camera that many professional photographers have been waiting for. The results speak for themselves: this is without doubt our highest-quality camera to date."
Robert Cristina, Manager Professional Products and NPS at Nikon Europe.
The Nikon D3x delivers superb image resolution of a practically unprecedented quality, making it the perfect choice for commercial and fashion photographers, who will appreciate the way this new model has stepped up the game. Of course, at its price point, this camera is markedly a camera for those who are serious about their photography.
Speaking of which, Andy Rouse, digital SLR expert for us here at Wex Photographic has already taken a glance over the specifications of the new camera.
"The Nikon D3x will keep its target market happy and I think a lor of amateur photographers will want to own the flagship too. It is undoubtedly the most high specification camera that Nikon have produced and will convert more and more film photographers to the digital world." - Andy Rouse.
You can read the full version of Andy's review of the Nikon D3x on the Wex Photographic site.
