What is the difference between the Bushnell A1, A3 and A5 Binoculars?
The A1 is the smallest and most portable model in the A-Series, with 25mm lenses that keep the binoculars compact for travel and everyday use. The A3 moves up to 32mm lenses, giving you a larger viewing format while remaining compact enough for walking, travel and wildlife watching. The A5 is the flagship model, with larger 42mm lenses that gather more light, plus dielectric and phase-coated prisms for greater colour accuracy and contrast. All three ranges are available with either 8x or 10x magnification, so you can choose the binocular size first, then the magnification that suits how you want to use it.
Are the A1 binoculars available in other colours?
The A1 range comes in four colours: Cilantro Green, Ebony Black, Plum Purple and Trench Tan. All four colours are offered with both the 8x25 and 10x25 configurations, so the colour does not determine which magnification you can buy. Bushnell also supplies the A1 with a colour-matched Snap-Lock™ rope strap.
How does the Snap-Lock™ strap system work?
The supplied rope strap clicks onto the Snap-Lock™ lugs on the sides of the binoculars, so you can quickly attach or remove it without having to undo a conventional strap. The lugs themselves thread into the binocular body and can also be removed. If you take them out, the supplied caps cover the threaded connections for a neater finish.
How weather-proof are the Bushnell A1 Binoculars from rain and dirt?
The A1 combines IPX7 waterproofing with Bushnell's EXO Barrier® lens protection. If rain reaches the binoculars, the waterproof construction protects the body, while EXO Barrier® repels water, oil and dirt from the lens surface. This reduces the amount of contamination that sticks to the exposed glass when you're outside in changing weather. Soft rubber armour also gives your fingers more purchase when the binoculars or your hands become wet.
Are lens caps included with the Bushnell A1 Binoculars?
Yes. The A1 has tethered lens caps, so they stay attached to the binoculars when you take them off the lenses. As they’re already fitted, you won’t see them listed separately among the supplied accessories. It also means there are no loose lens caps to keep track of when you’re out walking or travelling.
