The Canon PowerShot S95 is the successor to the highly-acclaimed PowerShot S90 and offers full manual exposure controls (as found on SLRs and on the Canon PowerShot G11) and clever automatic functions in a compact body. The S95 is a superb low-light performer, with a maximum ISO of 3200 at full resolution with minimum noise and a bright f/2.0 lens, while Smart Flash Exposure controls flash levels according to shooting conditions, providing the right amount of flash to ensure perfectly exposed shots in all situations. The PowerShot S95 offers Multi-Aspect shooting, with 3:2, 4:3, 1:1, 16:9 and 4:5 formats, providing more composition options within the camera. As well as great stills, the Canon PowerShot S95 can record 720p HD video with stereo sound, making it an exceptional pocket-sized imaging tool.
Canon PowerShot S95 digital camera main features
High-sensitivity 10 MP CCD A high-sensitivity CCD sensor gives outstanding image quality in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Even images taken at high ISOs show exceptionally low noise levels and a wide dynamic range.
HS System with high-sensitivity 10.0 MP CCD sensor The ability to shoot at higher ISO speeds and maintain excellent image quality is a key feature of the PowerShot S95. The HS System is a powerful combination of high-sensitivity sensor coupled with the latest DIGIC 4 image processor for outstanding image quality in a wide variety of lighting conditions, including low light.
HD movies with stereo sound The PowerShot S95 features 720p HD 24fps movie recording with stereo sound. The inclusion of Miniature Effect in movies also adds a completely new dimension to video footage – shooting at a slower frame rate for dramatic and compelling time-lapse-style videos which appear of model scale. An integrated HDMI port with CEC compatibility makes it simple for video and stills to be viewed and controlled directly using a compatible HDTV and remote control.
f/2.0, 28mm wide, 3.8x zoom lens, with IS A bright f/2.0 aperture allows exceptional versatility, capturing low-light images and fast-moving subjects at higher shutter speeds. A wide angle of 28mm lets you put more in the frame, while Canon’s optical IS reduces blur caused by camera shake.
Compact design & lens Control Ring The PowerShot S90 combines pocket-sized proportions with a sophisticated lens Control Ring, to which functions such as step zoom, exposure, focus, and ISO can be assigned for fast, easy adjustment.
3.0” PureColor II G LCD screen A 3.0” PureColor LCD II screen (461K dots), with wide viewing angle, makes framing and reviewing shots a pleasure.
Dual Anti-Noise System with DIGIC 4 Working with the high-sensitivity image sensor, Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor delivers vastly improved noise performance across the ISO range. Shoot full-resolution images up to ISO 3200, or expand to ISO 12800 in (2.5MP) Low Light mode.
Full Manual control & RAW For creative control while shooting, the PowerShot S90 features Full Manual mode. The option of RAW shooting with support for Canon’s Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software provides complete control over image parameters during post-shoot editing.
High Dynamic Range A High Dynamic Range shooting mode allows the capture of high contrast scenes closer to how they appear to the human eye. Exceeding the limitations of conventional cameras, the PowerShot S95 takes three different exposures of the same scene before analysing and combining shots to create a single image in-camera. The result is an image that captures highlight and shadow detail closer to how the photographer sees it.
Smart Auto and Shooting Modes Smart Auto mode analyses subject brightness, contrast, distance, hue and movement. Intelligent Scene Detection Technology then selects the scene type from 22 variables, applying the best settings for optimum output..
Multi-Aspect shooting Multi-Aspect shooting, with 3:2, 4:3, 1:1, 16:9 and 4:5 formats supported. Allowing photographers to shoot according to their subject or the intended use of the image, Multi-Aspect shooting provides the ability to choose which composition and result they want to capture as the image is taken, without the need for post-processing.
Face Detection For perfect portraits, Canon Face Detection technologies include FaceSelf-Timer and Face Select & Track, which tracks focus for a chosen person in the frame. Also included are Canon’s blur-beating Motion Detection Technology and Servo AF/AE, for accurate focus and exposure on moving subjects.

Can I repay early? If so how?
No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.
What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?
Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan. You will also receive reminder letters and text at the end of the deferral period to remind you when your first payment is due.
