Design Overhaul

If you’re acquainted with this drone’s predecessor then you’ll clearly see the complete design overhaul. The DJI Mini 3 Pro’s optimised redesign allows you to get more out of every flight. The body, while still mini and weighing less than 249g, features larger propellers and an aerodynamic body tilt. The drone is foldable and so compact that it's impressively easy to pack it away and/or carry it along with you on excursions.

With the drone’s streamlined design and its ultra-lightweight, upgraded DJI Mini 3 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery, you’ll be able to have extended flight times of up to 34 minutes on a single charge. Should that not be enough, you can upgrade to the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus and that flight time can be further expanded to 47 minutes.

Finally, the Mini 3 Pro is equipped with a reimagined gimbal that is designed to offer a wider rotation range for low-angle shots and DJI’s True Vertical Shooting.

Flight Safety

Yet another area of improvement is its obstacle sensing system. Fully upgraded to support active obstacle sensing and stable video transmission, the Mini 3 Pro is without a doubt DJI’s safest Mini drone yet.

Its equipped with Tri-Directional Obstacle Sensing. This system incorporates forward, backward, and downward dual vision sensors that combined with the physical redesign allow for a wider sensing range and therefore, enhanced flight safety. In addition, the drone features Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS 4.0) that can detect objects in your drone’s path in real-time - designed for avoiding obstacles in challenging environments.

Creative Shooting

DJI has made it easy to access the entire suite of creative shooting options that the Mini 3 Pro features. Easily located and operated, the drone features the likes of Timelapse, Panorama and 4x digital zoom. But there are three notable additions to this iteration.

Know the rules!

The UK’s drone rules are based on the risk of the flight – where you fly, the proximity to other people, and the size and weight of your drone. Any drone with a camera will require an Operator ID, regardless of weight. However, an additional Flyer ID is required for drones of 250g and over.

Other qualifications are still needed for commercial drone use, and even then, this doesn't mean you can fly your drone anywhere. Ensure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly; if you want to fly commercially, you must take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations).
