The image processor and sensor

Okay, we have to talk about these a little more. In this X-Pro2 model, Fujifilm have incorporated a 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X Processor Pro image processer. The processor boasts 4 times the processing speed and power of conventional image processing engines. Its response times are increased in every area, despite the increased 24.3 MP resolution. Then there are the improvements across almost every other area including write speeds, start-up time, faster autofocus, lower noise and colour reproduction. The sensor features a unique random colour filter array which reduces moiré and false colours without the need for an optical low-pass filter. Colour filters like this also have the effect of increasing the resolution, meaning when shooting with high-resolution Fujifilm X-Mount lenses, the camera will deliver images with resolution far greater than the actual number of pixels used.

Advanced Hybrid Multi Viewfinder

At the time of this camera coming out, it featured the World’s first Advanced Hybrid Multi Viewfinder which offered the benefits of both optical and electronic viewfinder. This game-changing feature means that you could use the optical for a direct view of the subject and then the electronic to preview your settings. Furthermore, a Multi-Magnification function can automatically switch the viewfinder magnification according to the lens you’re using and then the Electronic Rangefinder will simultaneously display the electronic viewfinder on top of the optical viewfinder. It makes this camera incredibly versatile and convenient for any skill level.

Fujifilm wants to go everywhere

Stylish, robust and weather resistant. Fujifilm make their kit like so it meets the need of both professional and amateur photographers. The X-Pro2 shell is made from four pieces of magnesium alloy and is sealed in a total of 61 points on each section which, you guessed it, makes it dust-proof, splash-proof and even capable of operating in temperatures as low as -10°C. Oh, and Fujifilm also added a dual SD card slot for more reliable image storage. They don’t want us to ever be in a situation where we can’t capture the perfect moment.
