Impressive autofocus
This lens boast an impressive autofocus which is achieved using an inner focusing system which drives smaller lenses in the middle or rear lens groups without moving the larger lenses in the front lens groups. Additionally, due to the light weight internal elements and the stepping motor, the Fujifilm 10-24mm fast and quiet to use.
Fujifilm’s High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating
Fujifilm have managed to minimise ghosting by adding a multi-layer coating to all the glass lens elements of the lens. Not only thing, but Fujifilm developed a new coating that has been added to the reverse side of the front lens which further reduces ghosting that often appears on ultra-wide angle lenses such as the Fujifilm 10-24mm.
Aperture construction
The lens has been kitted with a 7-blade aperture diaphragm that helps produce a beautifully smooth and round bokeh in your images. This is particularly useful when the minimum focal distance of this lens is a tiny 24cm. This means that the lens is versatile in its use in many types of photography such as from wide angle landscape or architecture photos, but also close-up macro shots.
