Godox LP800Bi Litemons Bi-Colour LED Panel Light

FAQs

What kind of work is the LP800Bi best suited to?

This panel is a very practical light for smaller video-led setups where you want soft coverage without dealing with a more complicated fixture. It makes sense for livestreams, vlogs, home studio shooting, video calls, simple portrait work, and general content creation where clean, even light matters more than raw output. The vertical panel shape also helps when space is limited, especially in tighter rooms or desk-based setups. It is a straightforward way to improve how faces look on camera without adding much fuss.

Is it powerful enough for professional use, or more of a beginner light?

This light is ideal for beginners and smaller productions, but that does not mean it feels limited for close-range work. At 1930 lux at 1 metre at 5600K, it has enough output for talking-head setups, seated interviews, and soft fill in compact spaces. The built-in diffusion gives it a gentler look from the start, which is often exactly what newer creators need. In practice, it makes most sense as a main light for home use or a supporting light in a larger setup.

How flexible is the control system?

Control is simple, which suits the light well. You can adjust settings directly on the rear of the panel or work remotely through the Godox Light app over Bluetooth from up to 30 metres away. The rear screen clearly displays brightness, colour temperature, and other key settings, making it easy to make quick changes while shooting. That balance of local and app control works well for solo creators who may be stepping in and out of frame.

Is the Godox LP800Bi Litemons Bi-Colour LED Panel Light suitable for quiet recording environments?

Yes, and that is one of its more useful strengths. The LP800Bi uses passive cooling, so it runs silently without background fan noise. That is a real advantage for podcasts, voice-led video, streaming, and small indoor spaces where microphones are often quite close to the light. It helps keep the setup simple and avoids a common annoyance that can creep into video lighting.
