FAQs:
Can I use the GoPro Wireless Mic - USB Kit without the USB-C receiver?
Yes. The transmitter supports Bluetooth Audio, allowing it to pair directly with compatible mobile phones without using the included USB-C receiver. It can also connect directly to compatible GoPro cameras, including MISSION 1 Series, HERO13 Black, HERO12 Black, and MAX2. With MISSION 1 Series cameras, direct Bluetooth Super Wideband Speech connection enables clearer, more natural sound than standard Bluetooth. Recording without a receiver lets you choose the simplest setup for your recording.
How far can the wireless microphone transmit audio?
The system supports wireless recording from up to 150 metres away under suitable conditions, giving you the freedom to move around during interviews, presentations or vlogging without being limited by a microphone cable. The receiver continues to send audio directly to your compatible USB-C smartphone as long as you remain within range. This extra distance makes it easier to capture wider shots without compromising your audio connection.
How does Dynamic Noise Reduction improve recordings?
Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) intelligently filters out background noise while prioritising speech. This feature makes voices clearer without requiring additional editing after recording. It is particularly useful when filming on busy streets, in public spaces, or at other locations with constant ambient sound. By cleaning up unwanted noise during recording, you'll have footage ready to use with less editing.
How long does the transmitter battery last?
The transmitter delivers up to 6.5 hours of operation on a full charge, enough recording time for extended interviews, travel vlogs, or multiple filming sessions before recharging. A charging cable is included in the kit, making it straightforward to recharge between shoots.
What is included in the box?
The kit includes the wireless transmitter, USB-C receiver, windscreen, mounting magnet, transmitter charging cable and a storage pouch. Everything required to connect the microphone to a compatible USB-C smartphone is supplied in the box. The windscreen helps reduce unwanted wind noise outdoors, while the magnet offers an additional way to position the transmitter discreetly. The storage pouch keeps all the accessories together when travelling or storing the kit.
