Hahnel HL-XZ100 Battery (Sony NP-FZ100) - Twin Pack

This is a Hahnel HL-XZ100 Battery Twin Pack for charging Sony mirrorless compact system cameras, such as the Sony A9, A7 III, A7R III and A7R IV cameras. Operating at 2000mAh, 7.2V and 14.4Wh, this rechargeable battery pack is an equivalent to the Sony NP-FZ100.

Using the HL-ZX100 battery on Sony A7R IV

Sony has just released a firmware update (version V1.20) for the Sony a7R IV, which has caused a message to appear when using a Hahnel HL-XZ100 battery. The message reads "The operation and safety of this battery cannot be guaranteed." Please note that if you select OK (to continue use), the camera will work as normal with 100% functionality. If the camera is turned OFF and ON again, the message will no longer be displayed. The message will only appear again if the battery is removed for charging. This firmware update will not stop the HL-XZ100 battery from functioning and on-camera charging of the HL-XZ100 is not affected.
