The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro is a 3-axis smartphone gimbal stabiliser with 360° pan movement, Deep Track 4.0 subject tracking and a built-in selfie stick and tripod. Unfold it once, clamp in a 2.5-3.3" phone and the motors correct pitch, roll and yaw as you walk, pan, or turn towards yourself. That physical correction takes the small shakes out of handheld phone filming, giving everyday footage a steadier, more deliberate feel without building a separate support rig.

FAQs:
Which phones are compatible with the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro?
The magnetic clamp accepts smartphones from 2.5 to 3.3” wide, or 64 to 84mm. It supports phone thicknesses from 6.9 to 10mm and payloads from 130 to 300g. Once clamped, the phone attaches magnetically to the gimbal, making mounting quicker than threading it into a fixed cradle. Heavier phones still need to sit within the stated weight range so the motors can correct movement properly.
Does the Flow 2 Pro work with the iPhone camera app?
Yes. The Flow 2 Pro supports NFC pairing and Apple DockKit for native iOS tracking. After tapping an iPhone to the gimbal, it can reconnect automatically the next time you use it. DockKit tracking means the gimbal can keep you framed in the iPhone camera app, video calls, live streams and supported app platforms. The Insta360 app also supports Apple ProRes, Dolby Vision and Advanced HDR colour technology for iPhone video capture.
How much movement does the gimbal head cover?
The controllable range covers 360° yaw, 360° pitch, and 165° roll, so the head can pan fully around, tilt through complete rotations, and roll the frame for creative effects. This matters when tracking someone who moves around the camera, because the pan axis does not run into a fixed endpoint. It also provides modes such as Barrel Roll, FPV, and 360 Panorama with the physical range they need to work properly.
Can the Flow 2 Pro stand on its own?
Yes. The handle has built-in tripod legs, so you can place the gimbal on a table or flat surface without adding a separate mini tripod. This is useful for calls, solo pieces to camera, motion time-lapses and panorama modes, including 360°, 240°, 180° and 3 x 3 grid panoramas. The integrated selfie stick also extends to 8.3”, giving you more distance from the phone when filming handheld. For stable results, set the tripod legs on a level surface and keep the phone within the supported weight range.
How long does the battery last?
The built-in 1100mAh battery runs for up to 10 hours. It recharges in about 2 hours via the USB-C port. That same port can charge your phone while filming, so the gimbal can feed power to the handset during longer sessions. Actual running time will depend on phone weight, motor movement, tracking behaviour and how much phone charging you use.
