The LaCie 2big Dock Thunderbolt 3 hard drive is all about professionalism and convenience. The premium unit is aimed at those with professional workflows, supporting hardware controlled RAID 0, RAID 1 and even JBOD. The unit uses Seagate IronWolf Pro Enterprise-Class Drives that provide incredible speeds up to a maximum of 490MB/s which in turn can transfer a full hour of 4K footage in as little as a minute. This versatile unit provides various ports and slots that allow for a range of media including a USB 3.0, an SD and a CompactFlash card slot on the front for quick access. The rear of the unit provides a USB 3.1 port and two Thunderbolt 3 ports, as well as a DisplayPort allowing you to connect your HD display. Included with this unit, LaCie offers one-month access to Adobe's All Apps Plan, a 5-year Limited Warranty and Data Rescue Services.

Ports and Slots
This hard drive is all about professionalism and making your life as easy as possible. To do so, LaCie has incorporated various connection points for different cable and system types. This includes a USB 3.0 hub on the front of the unit that allows you to charge your phone, connect a portable hard drive or your digital camera. The front of the unit is also equipped with an SD and CompactFlash card slot. These of course allow you to directly transfer your fresh images and videos as soon as you've finished capturing them.
The rear of the unit features more options for you to transfer data and connect to your computer or laptop. There's a USB 3.1 port that provides compatibility with USB-C and USB 3.0 devices via the included adapter cable. There are two Thunderbolt 3 ports that allow you to daisy chain up to 5 additional LaCie 2big drives or any other Thunderbolt or USB-C solution. Finally, you can connect your LaCie 2big Dock to your high-resolution 720-1080p and 4K display via the DisplayPort also found on the rear of the unit.
RAID
The RAID Manager makes it easy to configure any 2big for speed, capacity, or data redundancy and allows the user to monitor the system's health via handy email notifications. RAID 0 (Stripe Mode) is for performance. Drives are stripped together and function like one large drive, enabling max speed and capacity. RAID 1 (Mirror Mode) if for redundancy, as the name suggests the drives mirror each other, meaning that data is automatically the same on both drives. If one fails, the other acts as a backup. Finally, JBOD is for flexibility (Just a Bunch of Disks). Drives function independently, offering two separate drives in one enclosure.
Seagate IronWolf Pro Enterprise-Class Drives
These drives are inside of the latest-gen 2big solutions and support up to 300 TB/year workloads. They are specially designed for RAID and high-speed 7,200 RPM performance while delivering its user's smooth power management, massive capacity, as well as 24/7 reliability. The internal drives store up to 900 hours of 4K footage, 280k raw images and are capable of transferring 1 hour of 4k footage in as little as a minute!

FAQs:
Can the drives be removed and replaced if I need more space?
The drives can be removed and upgraded to larger capacity should you need to. These drives are sold separately.
Will is read CFast 2.0 as well as older CFast cards?
This unit only supports CF cards. For newer CFast cards, you'll a separate reader which can then be plugged into the USB port on the front.
Is the fan noise loud and distracting?
RAIDs can be loud but this LaCie drive features a quiet fan that is not distracting.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
