How does the fluid drag system affect pan and tilt movement?
The 502X uses a Variable Continuous Fluid Drag System on both pan and tilt. Adjusting the drag changes the resistance you feel as you move the head, giving more control over the speed and character of camera movement. This supports slow pans, subject following and small framing adjustments with consistent fluidity. Pan and tilt drag can be adjusted to suit the movement required for the shot.
What does the counterbalance system do?
The built-in Counterbalance System is optimised for 4.4kg at a 55mm centre of gravity. When engaged, it supports balanced and controlled camera movement while reducing the effort required from the operator. This is useful when greater camera control is needed during tilt adjustments. The head also provides independent pan and tilt locks for controlling each axis separately.

The 502X head also has integrated 3/8-inch Easy Link attachments for monitors, arms and other accessories. These connections provide dedicated mounting points around the camera support. On the head, the Easy Link attachments are made to secure accessories without rotation.
Can the 502X head be used on support equipment other than this tripod?
The 502X has a 75mm flat base with a 3/8-inch mounting connection. This lets it move between compatible tripods, sliders, dollies, and other support systems. It is also fully compatible with Manfrotto’s XCHANGE quick-release system for faster equipment changes. This gives the head flexibility when a production requires different types of camera support.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
