How does the fluid drag system affect pan and tilt movement?
The 502X uses a Variable Continuous Fluid Drag System on both the pan and tilt axes. Adjusting the system changes the resistance during camera movement, giving the operator control over how the head moves through pans and tilts. This supports smooth movement when following subjects, making slow pans or adjusting framing. You can adjust pan and tilt drag independently.
What does the counterbalance system do?
The 502X has a built-in Counterbalance System that can be engaged when greater camera control is required. It is optimised for 4.4kg at a 55mm centre of gravity. When engaged, the system supports a balanced camera setup and reduces the effort required from the operator. The 502X supports a maximum payload of 8kg.
Can I attach monitors or other accessories directly to the head?
Yes. The 502X has integrated 3/8-inch Easy Link attachments for mounting accessories such as monitors and arms. These provide dedicated attachment points directly on the head. The Easy Link system also secures compatible accessories without rotating the head. This keeps additional equipment attached to the video support system rather than the camera plate.
Can the 502X head be used on support equipment other than this tripod?
Yes. The 502X has a 75mm flat base with a 3/8-inch mounting connection. This mounting arrangement lets the head move between compatible tripods, sliders, dollies and other support systems. The head is also compatible with the Manfrotto XCHANGE quick release system. This provides another way to change equipment during a production.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
