Small light for close set work

The Evoke 5C is the smallest light in the Evoke family, but it still behaves like a proper controllable fixture rather than a simple pocket LED. The bare light produces 496 lux at 1m and 5600K, which is enough for product edges, tabletop details, miniature sets or small practical accents. Add the magnetic Fresnel, and the beam tightens to 25°, raising output to 830 lux at the same distance and colour temperature. That narrower beam gives you a more deliberate patch of light, so you can lift one part of a frame without washing the whole scene.

Colour range and accurate matching

NanLux uses its Nebula C8 light engine to mix red, deep red, amber, lime, green, cyan, blue and indigo channels inside a fixture measuring just 2.2 x 1.7 x 1.7 inches. When you shift from 1000K to 20,000K, the light moves from very warm practical colour through daylight and into much cooler tones, so it can sit beside candles, lamps, windows or blue ambient light without feeling out of place. The ±200 green-magenta adjustment adds another layer of correction when fluorescent or mixed sources introduce a colour cast in the scene. CRI 98, TLCI 98, TM-30 Rf 96, and TM-30 Rg 100 ratings give colourists and camera operators greater confidence when matching the light to other fixtures.

Magnetic shaping without slowing the set down

The included magnetic accessory system changes the light's physical shape rather than leaving you to adjust everything by distance and angle alone. Barndoors cut spill from the sides of the beam, so light stays off backgrounds, lenses or reflective surfaces. The diffuser and soft dome spread the source and soften the edges, making small highlights less harsh on shiny objects or in close-up detail. The snoot narrows the beam further, giving a tighter pool of light for selective highlights, while the thermal shield keeps the fixture easier to handle after longer runs.

Gels, effects and control

The Evoke 5C includes CCT, HSI, HSIW, RGBW, XY, Gel and Effect modes, so you can approach colour in the way that suits the job. Gel mode stores 460 LEE and Rosco references, letting you call up a familiar gel colour without cutting and taping material to a tiny front face. The 15 built-in effects include CCT loop, intensity loop, hue loop, flash, pulse, storm, police car, TV, paparazzi, candle/fire, disco, bad bulb, fireworks, explosion and welding. Those effects vary the brightness, colour, or timing within the fixture, so you can add a small practical cue without building a separate lighting chase from scratch.

Control from the fixture, app or lighting desk

The Evoke 5C can be adjusted from the fixture itself or through the Nanlink app over Bluetooth, which keeps simple shoots quick without adding extra hardware. For larger sets, it also supports DMX/RDM and LumenRadio CRMX when used with the required optional adapter or module, allowing it to sit within a broader lighting rig. NFC pairing speeds up the connection by reducing the number of menu steps required before the remote control begins. The USB-C port handles power and DMX input, while firmware updates support the light and select accessories, including the battery grip and optional CRMX module.

Battery, mounting and weather sealing

The built-in 1300mAh battery runs the Evoke 5C for up to 50 minutes at maximum brightness, or up to 156 minutes at minimum brightness. When the magnetic battery grip is attached via the electronic contacts, runtime increases to 4.7 hours at 100%brightness, so the light can stay working through longer setups without a cable hanging from the fixture. The body mounts magnetically or via a 1/4-inch anti-twist thread, allowing it to be placed on stands, clamps, small rigs, or metal set pieces. Its IP67 rating protects against dust, rain and water immersion for up to 30 minutes at 1m, and the supplied carry bag keeps the light and accessories together between setups.
