It can copy and verify footage without a computer, using auto-labelling to link between camera and backup folder. Footage can also be copied onto two external USB drives via its two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, it can be used as an external card reader (with included USB 3.0 cable), and can batch-erase cards to aid a more efficient workflow. The NCB-20 has 8 built-in card slots, a 2.4” TFT LCD screen, and supports Windows, Mac and Linux systems. Backup, Copy And Erase
The NCB-20 has the ability to safely and reliably back up multiple memory cards from different cameras. A computer is not required, simply insert a memory card and the device will surpass the folder structure, comparing stored backup folders to decide whether to suggest Copy or Verify. It also doubles as a USB card reader and can be connected to a computer via the USB 3.0 cable (included), supporting multiple identical memory cards. The NCB-20 also provides the option to erase a number of cards in one batch, a handy tool for managing your storage.
Data Labelling And Security
The most efficient way to link a camera and backup folder is through auto-labelling. The NCB-20 is able to use the group number to name the folder and subsequently label each memory card with the pre-assigned slot name. A good tip for the Editors out there is to assign each cameraman (or camera) a specific slot, enabling you to easily locate the right footage. In regard to safety, you can copy to two USB drives simultaneously. The NCB-20 has this ability due to its built-in M-Copy technology to minimise copy times via parallel processing. By doing this, there is a much smaller risk of your data becoming corrupted or lost.
Preview And Power Options
The NCB-20 has a built-in 2.4” colour LCD screen. This is an essential tool for monitoring backed up Full HD and 4K video files out-and-about, giving you peace of mind that video files have been safely and securely backed up. Depending on your preference, the NCB-20 is compatible with a variety of power options to include a V-mount battery setup, D-tap, and USB power banks. It has the capacity to operate from 6 to 25 V and can protect up to 40V.

No, the NCB-20 does not require a computer system to backup files as you simply insert a memory card into the device and it will suggest whether to Copy or Verify the files - utilising an efficient ‘folder and label’ system to gain a clear result of the comparison.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
