Nikon WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter

The Nikon WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter is compatible with the D600, D610, Nikon 1 AW1, J3, S1 and V2 cameras. The WU-1b delivers the camera's live view display to your smartphone and allows you to trigger the cameras shutter release from up to 10m away. The images captured can then be displayed on your smartphone and transferred to family or friends, or uploaded to social networking sites. The WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter can only be used with a compatible iPhone, iPad, and/or iPod touch or smart devices running on the Android operating system. The Wireless Mobile Utility app must be installed on the device before it can be used with a camera connected to the WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter.

Transfer images directly to your smart device
Attaching the WU-1b onto your camera enables you to download images into your smart device. Select "Download pictures from the camera" from the Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility to view a list of images in your camera, and choose the photos you want to download to your device. The downloaded images can immediately be uploaded to an SNS or attached to emails, for easy sharing with family and friends.

Remote shooting using your smart device
You can use your smart device as a remote shutter to snap pictures with your camera. Tap "Take pictures remotely," and the smart device will display the view through the lens. Convenient for when you want to avoid even the slightest blur caused by pressing the shutter release button on the camera, or if you want to be in the picture yourself.
