This lens offers an ultra-wide angle of view and a versatile zoom range which is designed for landscape, architecture and astrophotography. But, despite its main focus, it has a minimum focusing distance of 0.28m which means this lens can be used for close-up photography too. Furthermore, its maximum f2.8 aperture and 9-rounded-blade aperture diaphragm will help to produce beautifully circular and pleasing bokeh, helping the isolation of subjects in your frame. The lens sees various coatings that maintain pin-sharp images and reduced flare and ghosting. Finally, the lens is surprisingly lightweight and compact for an ultra-wide-angle lens and thanks to this profile, Nikon has included a specialised lens hood that allows the use of 112mm screw-on filters, adding to the versatility of this lens.

Intelligent Lens Construction
As you'd expect, Nikon has over a century of professional lens building and unwavering knowledge of optical glass and they've used this expertise to create this outstanding ultra-wide-angle zoom lens. The lens has 16 high-quality elements in 11 groups, including 4 ED elements, 3 aspherical elements. Various coatings have been added which help to maintain stunning image quality and reduced flare and ghosting, even when photographing backlit subjects. These coatings include a Nano Crystal coating, a Fluorine coating and an Areno coating. Finally, a 9-rounded blade diaphragm makes up the aperture. This aperture design makes for smooth and beautiful bokeh when using wider apertures. Equally, when using narrow apertures, you can capture pin-sharp images rich with clarity.
Filter Ready
Nikon has designed the lens to be compact, with every aspect being smaller than most other ultra-wide-angle lenses with wide constant apertures. This lens comes with two hoods, a standard hood and a larger hood which allows 112mm screw-on filters to be attached, making for a lens rich with shooting options. In addition, there's also a rear filter slot which allows the use of gel colour filters.

How does it work?
Where a qualifying product is added to your basket, the full value of your basket, including any accessories purchases, will be eligible for interest free credit. This is subject to the value of the additional products not exceeding the value of the qualifying product. No deposit is required and payments will be collected by direct debit in monthly instalments, the first instalment being collected 30 days after shipment of the product.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
