Create Beautiful Videos

The Nikon Z 6 supports the creation of full-frame 4K and UHD films captured at 30p. When shooting in Full HD at 120p stunning-slow motion can be achieved. Users are also free to produce 4K and UHD time-lapse videos in-camera. 4K or UHD still frames can be selected from a video and used as high-quality images.

Capture Stunning Details in the Darkness

Whether it's light or dark you can capture stunningly detailed and sharp images thanks to the 100-51200 ISO working together with the outstanding EXPEED 6 image processor. Images feature virtually no grain no matter the lighting situation. The exposure meters down to -4 EV when working with a lens with a max aperture of f/2 or faster, thanks to which you can pick up subtleties in shadows.

Powerful Autofocus

The ultra-wide AF provides excellent coverage over 90% of the frame. The formidable autofocus combined with a Nikon Z mount lens can easily detect subjects who appear at the edge of the frame. Vertical shooting is also supported. Thanks to the Eye-Detection AF the camera is able to lock on the subject's eye. This is true whether the subject is on their own or in a group. This feature is customisable and the user is even able to select which eye the AF should focus on. Additionally, there is no loss of focus even when the eye is briefly obscured. The AF senses movement instantaneously and can successfully track small and fast-moving subjects such as rats. This is true in any light. There is also a Face Detection AF processor that does exactly what the name suggests, detects and focuses on faces even if the subject is moving. The user can set the AF speed and AF tracking sensitivity during video capture.

Advanced Stabilisation

Users benefit from in-camera five-axis optical Vibration Reduction for sharp stills and steady video. This allows you to shoot at five stops slower delivering clearer photos in lower lighting. It also facilitates smoother video scenes without the camera shake present in the shot. The featured Sport Mode provides a stable viewfinder image when you're trying to capture subjects moving at exceptionally high speeds.

Ultra-Bright and Sharp EVF

The incorporated 3686k-dot OLED electronic viewfinder comes with aspherical glass elements layered with a protective coating that prevents unwanted flare. Dirt and reflections are also eliminated thanks to the protective coating. The OLED EVF is generous in size to reproduce colours in a natural manner. It also deals with motion for video smoothly. It facilitates quick zoom focusing and panning without losing sharpness. Users can apply settings to the EVF so that it displays the true to life image.
