The Olympus / OM System ME-52W is a compact noise-cancelling microphone for digital voice recorders, using unidirectional pickup and a 3.5mm plug. When plugged directly into a recorder, the microphone focuses on sound from the front, so less surrounding noise reaches the recording, and speech is easier to transcribe. Its 0-90° adjustable angle, windscreen, tie-clip, and 1m extension cable provide more practical placement when recording voice.
