The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GM1 Digital Camera is the first model to sit in the new Panasonic GM range of portable and lightweight compact system cameras and offers many of the advanced features found the larger G-series models. The Panasonic GM1 with Micro Four Thirds lens mount includes a 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor and a Light-speed AF focusing system capable of producing a continuous burst rate of 5 fps. The 3.0-inch, 1036K dot touch-sensitive LCD screen brings intuitive control to your fingertips, allowing you to set the focus and even release the shutter with one press. The GM1 integrates Wi-fi connectivity to offer a more flexible shooting experience and instant image sharing (via the downloadable Panasonic Image App) with easy operation. The GM1 is also equipped with Full HD 1080p recording, Silent Mode, a built-in flash, iA intelligent Auto mode, a built-in flash, ISO 25,600 and a Focus Peaking function.

Exceptional picture quality - 16MP MOS sensor
The GM1 boasts not just its outstandingly compact profile but its high functional performance for ultimate picture quality. The large 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor achieves both high resolution and high sensitivity image recording with less noise. The Venus Engine features its advanced noise reduction systems which helps produce clear, smooth image especially for the nighttime scenery. The combination of the new Live MOS Sensor and the Venus Engine achieves max. ISO25600.

Fast and accurate autofocus
All cameras of LUMIX G, and LUMIX GM1 adopt Contrast AF for its focus system. Compared with the Phase Difference System AF, the Contrast AF boasts higher accuracy especially in shooting with bright lens with small F value. The LUMIX GM1 features high-speed Light Speed AF, making it possible to capture even the fast-moving subject clearly. The camera and the lens exchange the digital signal at max. 240 fps to minimize the time to focus. The LUMIX GM1 realizes the high speed burst shooting at 5 fps in 16.00-megapixel and max. 40 fps using an electronic shutter.

Full-HD Video Recording
The LUMIX GM1 records smooth, high-resolution full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 60i (60 Hz) / 50i (50 Hz) videos in AVCHD or MP4* (MPEG-4 / H.264) format*. The LUMIX GM1 also supports 1080/24p native mode with 24 Mbps in AVCHD format bringing impressive afterimage to the footage. In addition, the P / A / S / M mode also lets you enjoy expressive video recording. Thanks to optimum pixel-mix technology which is made possible by the improvement of sensor sensitivity, sharpness and clarity are improved in motion images, too. * 30 fps (NTSC area) / 25 fps (PAL area) in MP4 recording.

Built-in Wi-Fi
The LUMIX GM1 integrates Wi-Fi connectivity to offer more flexible shooting experience and instant image sharing with easy operation. All these flexible shooting / browsing / sharing style are made possible with the LUMIX GM1 and the Panasonic's dedicated application software "Panasonic Image App" for iOS / Android smartphones / tablets.

Compact and lightweight, ideal for general purpose shooting
The Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. lens is an ultra-lightweight and compact retractable zoom lens for Panasonic G series cameras. It utilises MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) - Panasonic's advanced hand-shake correction technology and a 240 fps Sensor Drive to take advantage of cameras with high-speed Contrast AF.

iA (intelligent Auto) / iA Plus Mode
The iA (Intelligent Auto) mode supports taking beautiful pictures with a variety of shooting-assist functions including new Intelligent Handheld Night Shot and iHDR (Intelligent High Dynamic Range) in addition to AF Tracking, Intelligent D-range Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition and Intelligent ISO Control. The Intelligent Handheld Night Shot generates a glamorous night scenery even without using a tripod. The iA Plus mode lets you adjust defocusing area in the background, exposure compensation and white balance for more flexible control.

3.0-inch Monitor with Touch-control System
The touch-control system integrated in the 3.0-inch large approx.1036K-dot high resolution monitor immediately lets you to set focus to the subject by just touching it on the screen and you can even release the shutter.

Built-in Flash
Despite its ultra compact profile, the LUMIX GM1 integrates built-in flash (GN5.6 ISO200?m / GN4.0 ISO100?m) which is enough useful for daily snapshots.

Time Lapse Shot
Leave the camera to record stationary observation of subjects such as flowers coming into bloom or scudding cloud. The series of consequent images can be combined in a camera to produce a time lapse video.

Creative Control
