Samyang's 24mm T1.5 ED AS IF UMC II Video lens is a wide-angle, manual focus prime designed for video work on Sony's full-frame and APS-C compact system cameras. It has been carefully engineered for professional film and video work, with the focus gear ring allowing the use of follow focus systems. The decoupled (de-clicked) aperture ring works quietly and smoothly during shooting. The stated T number of 1.5 refers to the actual light transmission of the lens and is particularly important in the film industry where light readings are normally made manually. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood is supplied.

Ultra Multi Coating of Samyang Optics is used to minimise flare and ghost and realise crisp colour image.

Optical Features
This lens features 13 lenses in 12 groups including 4 extra low dispersion lenses (ED) and 2 glass aspherical lenses (ASP). ED lenses of 24mm T1.5 II effectively control the light dispersion to prevent flare and ghost. ASP lenses minimize colour aberration to realize exceptional image quality and high contrast for center and corner of image even when aperture is fully opened. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology of Samyang Optics optimises the light penetration to also minimize flare and ghost. Samyang 24mm T1.5 II is known for its beautiful and soft bokeh.
