Shure MOTIV MVi Digital Audio Interface

The Shure MOTIV MVi Digital Audio Interface is a super-compact and portable, single-channel USB audio interface. Ideal for on-the-go podcasters, vloggers and musicians, the device will fit right in your bag and will let you stream and record a microphone or instrument to your Mac or Windows computer. The device is also MFi-certified and can be used to capture sound to an iPhone or iPad. It features a JFET Class-A buffered preamplifier input which provides high-quality tone and clarity. The combo XLR/1/4" jack allows you to plug in either an XLR microphone or a guitar/bass/keyboard, and when connected to a computer, the interface provides phantom power for condenser microphones. An intuitive touch panel allows you to quickly access to 5 DSP modes, gain and headphone volume.

The Input

Shure has equipped the MOTIV MVi with a JFET Class-A buffered preamplifier input which is what provides such a high-quality tone and level of clarity. There's a combo XLR/1/4" jack input that allows you to plug in either an XLR microphone or a guitar/bass/keyboard. If you've got your laptop or you're at your desktop when connected the interface can provide the phantom power required to operate condenser microphones. These options allow you the creative freedom needed to produce high-quality recordings, whether it is for a song or for a podcast.

DSP Modes

Shure has made it easy with this audio interface. It comes with five DSP modes that automatically adjust gain, EQ, compression and limiting to best suit the chosen option and to produce the best possible sound quality. These options include Speech, Singing, Flat, Acoustic Instrument and Loud. Although these are incredibly useful, we all like to tweak. The device will allow you to manually adjust the limiter, compressor, and five-band EQ to find a unique sound.

Touch Control

There's a simple and easy-to-use touch panel on the front of the device and this allows for fast and easy access to mic gain, headphone volume, DSP mode selection and mute. It's just another feature that makes this unit ideal for on-the-go recordings where accuracy and speed are key.
