This version of Sigma's popular 70-300mm DG lens incorporates Sigma's original OS (Optical Stabilizing) function, which allows you to use shutter speeds up to four stops slower than you would normally be able to hand-hold, making telephoto shots for nature or sports photography simpler. As well as counteracting shake to reduce blurring, the Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG OS Lens also addresses the issues of flare, ghosting and aberrations. The inclusion of the SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element ensures images are crisp and sharp and the colours accurate, while the Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces occurrences of lens flare and ghosting and also contributes to the contrast of the image.

Compact and lightweight lens design
The lens has an overall length of 126mm (5.0"), maximum diameter of 76.5mm (3.0") and weight of just 610g/21.5oz. Its compact construction makes it convenient for travel and hand held telephoto photography.
Super Multi Layer Coating
The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high contrast images throughout the focal range.
Rounded diaphragm
This lens has a rounded 9 blade diaphragm which creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas.

This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 150cm (59.1") throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.9, making it ideal for close-up photography.
