FAQs:
How does the RGB function change how you use this light?
The RGB mode gives you more than just white balance control. You can introduce subtle colour accents in the background or add atmosphere without needing gels. It is especially useful for small sets or vlogging setups where space is limited, but you still want some visual variation.
Is it bright enough to use as a main light?
At close range, it can serve as a key for tight framing, such as talking-head shots or product work. For anything wider, it is better used as fill or accent lighting. The output is consistent, but it is designed around proximity rather than lighting larger scenes.
Are the built-in effects actually usable?
The effects are simple but practical. Things like TV flicker or emergency light patterns can add movement to a scene without extra gear. They are not overly complex, but for quick setups, they save time and give you something usable straight away.
How does it handle colour accuracy?
With CRI 95 and TLCI 97, it keeps colours looking natural in standard lighting modes. Skin tones remain consistent, which is important if you are mixing it with ambient light. Even when shifting between temperatures, it stays predictable.
What is the battery performance like in real use?
You get around 75 minutes at full output, which lines up with short shoots or intermittent use. Running it below maximum extends that time, especially when used as a background or accent light. Charging via USB-C is straightforward, and fast charging helps keep it ready between sessions.
