SmallRig RC 60C RGB LED Video Light (Lite Edition) 4808

FAQs:

How powerful is the SmallRig RC 60C Lite Edition?

The RC 60C is a 60W RGBCW COB monolight. Unmodified at 1m, it produces 1980 lux at 3200K, 2350 lux at 5600K and 2430 lux at 6900K. The included mini reflector directs the output forward, making the light more useful as a compact fill or small key source. For interviews, product shots or livestreaming, this allows the fixture to sit close to the subject without taking over the setup.

What colour controls does the RC 60C provide?

The light covers 2500K to 10000K, so it can move from warm tungsten-style light through daylight and into cooler tones. It also gives RGB, HSI and RGBCW control, which changes the actual colour output rather than relying on physical gels. Green and magenta adjustment lets you correct small colour shifts when mixing the RC 60C with room lights or other LEDs. Built-in Rosco and Lee filter settings recreate familiar gel colours from the light’s menu or app.

How long does the built-in battery last?

The built-in 14.4V, 3400mAh battery gives up to 45 minutes of runtime at full output, with a runtime range of 45 to 75 minutes. Using less than full brightness extends usage because the LEDs draw less power. The battery supports PD fast charging with a 65W or higher charger and can reach full charge in around two hours. The USB-C input also supports charging while the light is in use.

Can the RC 60C be controlled away from the light?

Yes. The RC 60C supports Wi-Fi app control through Android and iOS devices, so brightness, colour temperature, RGB settings and effects can be changed without touching the fixture, ideal when the light is mounted high, tucked behind a subject or hidden inside a small set. The fixture also has onboard controls and an LCD, so you can still make physical adjustments without a phone. This gives a simple fallback when working quickly or keeping the setup minimal.

What lighting effects does the light feature?

The RC 60C includes built-in effects such as paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, breathe, flash, party and flame, along with CCT and RGB cycle modes. These effects change brightness or colour over time to imitate real practical sources. Instead of programming those changes externally, you can select the effect in the fixture or app and adjust the look from there. For small video scenes, it is easier to add screen glow, emergency-style flashes or moving colour without extra control hardware.
