Some new stylistic changes include a blue logo cap design; introduction of a comfortable rubber ring and a brand new focus window plate. Outstanding Optical Performance
Equipped with two aspherical and two Super-Low Dispersion glass elements, the lens is capable of expert distortion reduction along with spherical aberration and astigmatism management. With these out of the way, you can enjoy exceptional edge-to-edge resolution and contrast that is evident throughout the entire image. Light fall-off at all focal lengths is also controlled for. To finish things off, the anti-reflective multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens. It improves light transmission and reduces flare and ghosting.
Range of Photographic Genres
There is a wide range of photographic genres that this lens can be used for; including environmental portraits, distant landscapes, macro work, video and time-lapse capture as well as the industrial and medical use - thanks to the compact and lightweight lens body. Let's start with environmental portraits. The extending barrel focusing system produces a stunning, soft bokeh effect present in the background and foreground of the image. The 100mm focal length along with the fast f/2.8 aperture allows you to shoot indoors and outdoors with ease. Finally, the 9 bladed diaphragm delivers a lovely, almost circular-shaped background highlights up to f/5.6. The resulting image is virtually free of longitudinal chromatic aberration. Not just for macro work; this lens works wonderfully for distant landscapes. Again the 100mm focal length allows you to capture intriguing objects in the foreground of an image along with compressed landscape scenery present in the background. High-resolution abilities and impressive colour rendering further ensure high-image quality for landscapes. Last but not least, this lens is great for Macro - after all, it's in the title. Delivering fantastic magnification at shorter working distances, this lens has everything you need for great macro work. This is owed to the lens being able to achieve life-sized (1:1) image reproduction at 30cm. The 100mm f2.8 atx-I FF Macro Lens has been designed to work with full-frame sensors. This means that the focal length on a DSLR with an APS-C sensor becomes 160mm on Canon and 150mm on Nikon cameras; resulting in 1.5x-1.6x larger magnification when compared to a full-frame camera.

Not just for stills, the Tokina 100mm f2.8 atx-I FF Macro Lens can be used for close-up commercial video work and time-lapses. Utilise its outstanding colour reproduction when you film in LOG along with stunning sharpness.
Mechanics
With 55mm filter threads at the front of the lens - that extends during focusing without rotating - enables for different filters, including polarizers, to be used in landscape and product photography. To avoid excessive AF hunting, the included focus range limiter switch - located on the side of the lens - conveniently locks the lens focus in or out of the macro focusing range. Another handy mechanical feature is the manual focusing ring which direction matches the proprietary direction of both Canon and Nikon lenses. The staple, extending barrel focusing system delivers gorgeous bokeh with almost circular-shaped background highlights ideal for portrait photography. Finally, the well-received one-touch focus clutch mechanism easily switches between autofocus and manual focus.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
