The parfocal optical design of the lens helps prevent a focus shift when you change the zoom. Designed with a T3.0 aperture, it doesn't ramp during zoom. It uses low dispersion glass and aspherical elements in its optical design for minimal distortion and optimal colour correction. The zoom, focus, and iris control rings have industry-standard 0.8 MOD cinema gears while the focus ring features approximately 300 degrees of rotation for the ultimate shooting experience. It comes with a 28cm close-focus capability that enables you to capture a wide-angle of view while maintaining a safe distance from your subject.

Several screw holes are supplied in the focus and zoom rings, so you can attach a lever for the smooth operation of focus and zoom manually. But even if used handheld, the geared zoom, focus, and iris rings are a pleasure to operate, as they only require light pressure to move them through the range, with just the right amount of damping to stay put. Also, the clear marking on both sides of the lens makes it easy to read the settings.
