FAQS:
What is the advantage of adding weighted leg joints to the tripod?
By adding weighted leg joints and lowering the centre of gravity, you are provided with a more sturdy mounting system.
What are the Chicken Lips anti-rotation shims?
Within the leg sections of 3 Legged Thing tripods, there are plastic shims (or Chicken Lips). These run along the internal key line of each leg to stop them from spinning or overextending.
Are you able to remove one of the tripod legs to use it as a monopod?
The Travis 2.0 features three removable legs, which can be used as either a monopod, boom, or selfie-stick. This does require additional accessories.
Can you attach an external monitor to this tripod?
There is a 1/4"-20 threaded mount situated on the canopy, which supports the addition of an accessory arm (sold separately). You are then able to simply mount an external monitor, microphone, or LED light directly to this arm.
How much does this tripod weigh?
This tripod weighs 1.82kg, which is relatively lightweight when considering its 18kg capacity.
