The Audio-Technica AT8010 is a versatile microphone suitable for use in a variety of audio recording scenarios, such as during interviews, chorus performances, and a set-up featuring stringed instruments. Its extended frequency response is great for both on and off axes that allows you to capture either sharp and focused sounds or bass-rich and low tones with stunning clarity. Its omnidirectional polar pattern ensures a 360-degree sound pickup that makes the sound more natural and realistic as it does not focus on one particular sound source. Further, the low sensitivity of this microphone ensures there is no popping noise present in the recordings, which also enables sound acquisition at higher volumes. It has a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter that effectively diminishes unwanted low-frequency sounds like background noises and wind making it a great pick for studio and on the move audio recording.

Expanded Audio-Technica AT8010 Omni Microphone Batt/Phant Key Features:

Switchable 80 Hz High-Pass Filter

The 80 Hz high-pass provides quick switching from flat to low frequency response. Whenever you switch to the low frequency, the microphone automatically eliminates unwanted low-level sounds like ambient tones, winds, traffic, and reverberations from the room, affording you with clean and natural sound replication.

Wide Frequency Range

The microphone has a wide frequency range, from 20-20,000 Hz, to accommodate low to high sensitivity sounds and reproduce them with a more transparent and natural output. The low sensitivity of this microphone enables it to minimize popping noise, as well as allows it to be used at higher volumes without overloading.

Omnidirectional Polar Pattern

The microphone has a permanently polarized condenser with an omnidirectional pickup pattern that acquires sound from all directions or features a 360-degree sound capture. This unique pattern facilitates wide sound coverage allowing you to record creatively with large vocal groups and instruments with optimum clarity.
