Blackmagic Design Mini Converter - Audio to SDI

The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter, Audio to SDI, can embed four channels of analogue audio or eight channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SDI video connection. It embeds audio into 3G/HD/SD-SDI sources in up to 1080p60 resolution. It also features a redundant SDI input to run a backup cable in case the first one is lost. It comes in handy at crowded venues.

Can different audio inputs be separated into right and left channels?

The left and right audio channels are completely independent and two separate audio inputs can be separated into right and left channels. SDI supports up to 8 independent audio channels and there is no channel crosstalk at the output end.

Which operating systems are compatible with the converter?

The mini converter is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit), Mac 10.15 Catalina, and Mac 11.1 Big Sur or later operating systems.

Can it be used outdoors?

It includes a redundant SDI input in addition to the dedicated SDI input that allows you to run a backup cable. This feature enables you to use the converter outdoors and in crowded places where there are chances of cable damage.
