The Sigma SD1 Digital SLR plus new lenses
Sigma lenses are well respected for their combination of superb optical quality and budget friendly prices, and as a result they have found their way into the camera bags of pro and amateur photographers alike. As such the release of two new top-end lenses from Sigma is certainly worth sitting up and taking note of. Sigma's record with SLR cameras is perhaps a little less impressive, despite the technology used in their cameras impressing many and regularly receiving positive reviews. However, with the launch of their new flagship SLR, the SD1, Sigma are looking to prove that they can make great cameras as well as great lenses.
In this video The Wex Photographic team at Photokina in Cologne talk to Paul at Sigma about their two new pro lenses - the 150mm f2.8 optically stabilised macro lens and the 120-300mm f2.8 optically stabilised telephoto zoom. In addition, Paul shows off the new Sigma SD1 SLR camera with its 46 million pixel Foveon sensor.
