The Action 2 is equipped with a powerful sensor that offers impressively smooth and detail-rich 4K/120p video capture. This exceptional image quality is coupled with a super-wide 155° field that exploits a custom aspheric lens to sharpen edges and reduces image distortion.

In addition to this and adding to performance and image quality is HorizonSteady technology that will keep your footage level even in the wildest environments. The built-in stabilisation algorithm detects and corrects camera shake and rotation in real-time - Perfect for action sports and fast-paced recording. Aiding this process is DJI’s RockSteady 2.0. This technology is used to further stabilise your footage. The Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) technology increases your shutter speed and then analyses the images captured and compensates by cutting off the edges of these images. The result of this is that multiple frames are overlaid and finally combined into a single frame that is sharp, clear, and accurately exposed.

Creativity

The heightened visual quality helps to capture your scene in crisp detail, but what’s more, is the additional creative features and functions on offer. Among the features to take advantage of is an intelligent Timelapse feature that allows you to record a sped-up passage of time, showcasing a dramatic scene of weather-fronts or the energy of a cityscape. The DJI Mimo App enables the quick and easy upload of your footage to your chosen social media platforms and if that’s not your thing, you can use the super-fast file transfer system to keep organised, manage and transfer photos and videos in seconds.

The camera is super-durable and designed to withstand the rigours of action filming. It’s drop-proof, dustproof, and waterproof down to 10 meters. Furthermore, its touchscreen and lens are constructed of gorilla glass that is tough and hardy. The camera body is equipped with DJI’s innovative magnetic locking design that has been developed to enable quick and secure installation and removal of accessories. There are two magnetic mounts available to choose from, a Ball-Joint Adapter Mount and Magnetic Adapter Mount, along with various other accessories that will enhance your workflow.

The Power Module

This kit comes with the DJI Power Module that is there just when you need it. The DJI Action 2 alone, offers a lengthy 70 mins on a single charge. However, when you attach the Power Module, this is increased to a huge 180 mins, allowing you to capture all the fine details you require. Furthermore, when connected gains a microSD card slot and this is even hot-swappable meaning you can continue to shoot and not miss the perfect shot.

Please Note: While Action 2 offers effective waterproofing, the Power Module is not waterproof.

Is the DJI Action 2 waterproof?

The DJI Action 2 Camera has an IP68 waterproof rating and offers effective waterproofing and can be used at depths of up to 10 meters. This can be extended to up to 60 meters by using the DJI Action 2 Waterproof Case. If you’re planning on using the camera for prolonged periods of time, you should use the waterproof case to avoid any potential damage. Do not use the camera in hot springs or expose it to corrosive liquids.

What formats does DJI Action 2 support?

The camera offers JPEG / RAW photo formats and MP4 (H.264 / HEVC) for video.

Can I use voice control on the DJI Action 2?

The DJI Action 2 supports voice commands in English and Mandarin Chinese.

How long is the battery life of the camera?

The unit has a battery life of up to 70 minutes. When connected to a Front Touchscreen Module, the battery life can be extended to up to 160 minutes. When connected to a Power Module, the battery life can be extended up to 180 minutes.

Can DJI Action 2 be mounted to a tripod?

You can mount it to a tripod or other accessories via the 1/4" screw hole at the bottom of the separately Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount.
