The detachable, rotatable clip lets you adjust the microphone angle, whether clipped sideways or inverted, for optimal sound capture. The receiver’s intuitive 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen enables you to adjust gain, view battery status, and select modes with ease. Alternatively, you can use the DJI Mimo app to change settings.

Additionally, the charging case offers practical storage, holding two transmitters and one receiver with space for the necessary accessories, so your gear remains organised and ready to use. You can even store the transmitters with a windscreen and clip or magnet attached, for a quick return to recording.

For those who need precise audio control, the DJI Mic 3 excels with its adaptive gain control and customisable voice tone presets. The adaptive gain control has two modes, Automatic and Dynamic, that adjust the audio levels to prevent distortion or clipping, which is useful in dynamic environments such as outdoor events. You can select from three voice tone presets: Regular, which offers a clean and balanced sound, Rich, which emphasises the low-end frequencies for a fuller voice, and Bright, which boosts higher frequencies to deliver clarity. These features work in combination with two levels of noise cancelling (Basic and Strong), allowing you to tackle both quiet studios and noisy outdoor spaces with clear and consistent audio.

The receiver lets you select Mono or Stereo (dual-channel) modes for creating output from each transmitter or a merged track. It supports dual-band frequency transmission (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) for stable, interference-free audio even in crowded environments. With Lossless Audio enabled, the transmitter delivers 48 kHz, 24-bit audio transmission, capturing fine detail and rich sound without compression. The dual-file 32-bit float internal recording is another standout feature. It allows you to capture both the original audio track and a version with automatic corrections, ensuring that you don’t lose any important audio, even in fluctuating sound environments. With the added benefit of internal recording, you can record independently of your wireless connection, ensuring peace of mind when recording on the move.

All-day power with convenient charging

The DJI Mic 3 ensures you have the power you need to keep recording without interruptions. The transmitter lasts up to eight hours, and the receiver lasts up to ten hours on a single charge. The compact charging case can provide up to 28 hours of extended use with its built-in battery. When time is critical, the quick charge function provides up to 2 hours of use from just a 5-minute charge. It also features intelligent power-saving options, such as automatic power-off after a set period of inactivity, and the ability to charge while using the receiver, ensuring you stay powered throughout long shoots or live streams.

Broad device compatibility to suit your creative needs

The DJI Mic 3 offers broad compatibility with a range of devices, allowing for easy integration into your existing setup. The transmitter supports direct Bluetooth connection to smartphones, allowing you to use it with your favourite recording or live streaming apps without the need for additional receivers. For more traditional setups, the receiver includes multiple output options, including a locking 3.5mm TRS port for cameras, a 3.5mm TRRS port for real-time monitoring, and a USB-C port for charging while recording.

The transmitter can also directly connect to DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Pocket 3, providing premium audio without the need for a receiver. Whether you’re using a smartphone, camera, or DJI device, the DJI Mic 3 offers reliable connectivity for various creative needs.
