The G2 chip also helps you make use of the 23MP sensor. This imagining sensor has been optimised to capture incredible 23MP photos and 5.3K60, 4K120, and 2.7K240 video. You can even pause the 5.3K video footage and extract stunning 15.8MP stills. The combined power of the lens, sensor and chip allows you to capture fine detail, realistic textures, and stunning contrast, even in low light. Furthermore, GoPro continues to offer creative shooting modes such as Time-Lapse, Night-Lapse and 8x Slo-Mo video.

HyperSmooth 4.0

GoPro’s advanced scene analysis and roller shutter correction algorithms have helped HyperSmooth technology become well known in the Action Camera community. The HERO 10 sees GoPro’s best performing HyperSmooth yet - HyperSmooth 4.0 offers even smoother and more convincing stabilisation that will help increase your production value. This version has been further improved to offer better low-light performance and horizon levelling with a higher tilt limit.

Connectivity Options

The HERO 10 offers fast and simple connectivity options. Transferring photos and videos has never been easier thanks to the Cloud storage GoPro subscription option. You can effortlessly upload, edit and share via the Quik app - All your best shots will be grouped where you can trim, colour swap, crop, edit video, auto-add music and more! Or a lightning-fast wired connection via USB 3.1 Gen 1 will have your footage on your computer in seconds.

Construction

First up, the screens. The HERO 10 has been upgraded to help your frame your shots and vlogs. Of course, we have the rear LCD that is as crisp and clear as ever, but it’s the high-quality front LCD screen that’s most exciting. This screen offers smoother frame rates, finer detail and its touch controls are super-refined too. This allows you to see what you’re doing, frame your shot and capture the best footage possible.

For all your water-lovers out there, the HERO 10 is set up for shooting in water. Completely waterproof and tougher than ever, HERO10 Black will work flawlessly down to depths of 10 meters (even further if you purchase the separately sold underwater housing) and, a new water-shedding hydrophobic lens cover that repels water while helping to eliminate lens flare and other artefacts.

Optional Extras

This iteration offers a range of extras that are designed to increase production value and the scope that you can capture. These include the Max Lens Mod - a pop on the optional Mod that increases the field of view to 155°, plus providing GoPro’s Max HyperSmooth stabilisation.

The Media Mod allows out to add a directional mic, HDMI port and more. You can attach the extra-large flip-up screen Display Mod that helps with framing for vlogging. And, the lightweight, tough and waterproof Light Mod attaches to help light your subject for higher quality footage.
