The filter successfully minimises light pollution in the form of yellowish and greenish colour cast generated by artificial lights, most commonly found in cities. Additionally, the Hoya Starscape cuts light transmission associated with Sodium and Mercury-vapor light pollution also commonly found in cities around the globe. The resulting image is clearer, boasting natural colours and better contrast in the night sky.
