Expanded PocketWizard Plus IIIe Transceiver Key Features:
Two-Stage TEST button
The Two-Stage TEST button acts in a similar way to a shutter release button on a camera. To ‘wake up’ the camera to meter and focus all you have to do it press the button half way. To take a photo, press the button all the way. After the button has been released, the camera will go back to sleep mode, making this transceiver a fantastic battery saver. Through utilising the right cables, your camera can be controlled remotely. You can follow your camera in your hands. Half-press the hand-held camera’s shutter release and the remote camera meters/focuses or full-press to fire off two cameras at once. Please note that this feature requires a receiving Plus III, MultiMAX or FlexTT5, and ACC Pre-Trigger cables.
The Plus IIIE slides into the hot shoe without the need for cables; it also features one do-it-all sync port for remotes. Additionally, it comes with the industry-standard miniphone 3.5mm connector that is much more reliable than a miniphone-to-phono adapter. It also comes with a miniphone to locking PC cable for triggering selected remote speedlights. Alternatively, it can be used on-camera when you can't put it in a hot shoe.
