Rode Wireless GO II

The Rode Wireless GO II is designed for mobile journalists, videographers, vloggers and more! This super-compact and incredibly versatile wireless microphone system build off its predecessor offering a dual-channel receiver and two transmitters. What's new is a range of upgrades including new failsafe precautions such as onboard recording capabilities, universal compatibility (with cameras, smartphones and computers), an extended-range of up to 200m (line of sight) and vastly improved transmission stability. Super-Compact

The Rode Wireless GO II kit is super-compact, weighs next-to-nothing and takes up little to no space in your kit bag. The receiver weighs just 32g and the transmitters weigh just 31g and both feature the same innovative clip design seen on their predecessor which is simple and easy to clip on your subjects, your camera, your camera rig, your boom pole and more! In addition, this of course means that you have access to the huge range of Wireless GO accessories available including the Rode MagClip GO.

Ultimate Versatility

This super-versatile kit contains two kits, each of which contains two transmitters and a receiver. This enables you to capture two sound sources at once, ideal for interviews and filmmaking etc. but can also be used as a single channel wireless microphone when recording a single sound source. The kit is universally compatible thanks to a 3.5mm analogue TRS output for plugging into cameras, as well as a digital audio output via USB-C which can be plugged into smartphones and laptops. Finally, you also have the option to switch between mono and stereo modes. This allows you to record each transmitter separately or to combine both for flexibility in post-production.

Failsafe Measures

Accidents happen whether they're made by the user or as a failure of technology, and because of this, the Wireless GO II can record over 24 hours of audio directly to the transmitter without the need for an SD card, ensuring you will have a backup of your recording. As well as this, you have the option to activate a safety channel that will record a second track at -20dB in case the main channel becomes distorted. Both of these are incredibly useful features that mean you have options for post-production should you experience any audio issues.

Secure Connection

The Wireless GO II features Rode's redesigned Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption. This system provides a huge 200m range (line of sight) and is specifically optimised for use in areas where there are high levels of RF activity, including dense urban areas e.g. shopping centres, universities and offices. A stable connection has been reinforced with the redesign of the internal antenna, but of course, should you experience an audio dropout, you'll have your onboard backup recording!
