When tested, the 1TB and 2TB options offered shock resistance up to 1.2m on a carpeted concrete floor and up to 1m on a carpeted concrete floor for 4TB and 5TB capacity.

What does IP54 actually mean?

The IP Stands for Ingress Protection - Meaning its ability to stand in Extreme Weather condition. The first number refers to its protection from dust and the second number refers to its water resistance. In the case of this product, the IP54 rating means that it is well protected from dust but not impervious to it. It is resistant to splashes of water but you wouldn’t want it being in direct rainfall or a jet of water.

How can I format this to work on Windows?

The unit needs to be plugged and then you will need to go to its properties where it will give you the option to reformat the unit. Please note that when reformatting, all data on the unit will be wiped.
