Expanded Shure SRH1440 Professional Open Back Headphones Key Features:
Professional Studio Quality
Get a professional listening experience with the Shure SRH1440 Open Back Headphones. These headphones have been specifically designed and optimised for mastering and critical listening. The Open back design allows air and soundwaves to pass through the outer shell of the headphones, that means pressure can't build within the headphone that would go on to create slight echoing. The open back design therefore results in a natural and clear audio soundscape with a more accurate response for mixing tracks. Additionally the SRH1440 Open Back Headphones are equipped with 40mm Neodymium drivers that deliver full range audio whilst retaining a rich bass without distortion that can sometimes happen when mixing at louder volumes.
Comfortable And Durable
Shure have decades worth of professional studio and stage audio experience that they have used to create durable and comfortable headphones. The SRH1440 headphones come with a premium padded headband and replaceable velour ear pads made out of high density, slow recovery foam specifically chosen for comfort and performance.
The set of headphones come with an additional pair of velour ear pads to ensure you can maintain your headphones overtime, as well as 2 Detachable Cables (ideal for storage and replacement if required) with gold plated MMCX connectors that provide a secure high quality connection. The cables are made from Oxygen free copper (OFC) with a reinforced jacket, for performance and durability.

FAQs:
What does ‘open back headphones' mean?
Open back headphones allow air and soundwaves to pass through the outer shell of the headphones without obstruction, which results in less pressure building inside and less echos, giving a cleaner audio experience. It does however mean that sound from the outside world can be heard more than with closed back headphones, so they are not ideal for noisy environments, but are perfect for the studio.
What is Neodymium?
Neodymium is a rare-earth element used to produce small, light weight, and high quality magnets. They have a higher sensitivity and substantial sound output, as well as using less power than many other magnets.Neodymium magnets help produce music at a relatively high sound pressure level (SPL measured in decibels) considering their small size and light weight.
