It combines a durable aluminium camera cage with a wood-lined handle, giving the camera operator unrestricted access to camera controls and ports. The cage is mounted via a ¼"-20 screw on the base and an M2.5 lock on its side (rubber pads prevent scratching on the base plate). The SmallRig Cage also employs an accessible shoe mount, multiple ¼"-20 and ?"-16 accessory mounting threads, and ARRI-style anti-twist accessory threads. The addition of the SmallRig handle gives access to further ¼"-20 and ?"-16, and ARRI-style mounting threads, as well as a second shoe mount; providing you with the perfect foundations to begin building your unique camera rig.

How do you install the camera into the cage?

First, remove the camera's strap triangle loop (top-left) and keep it safe for when using the camera out of the rig. Secondly, place the camera into the cage and tighten the ¼"-20 screw on the base. Be sure that the cage's side-lock is aligned with the aforementioned strap hole; tighten the M2.5 screw to finish.
