What brightness level can I expect from the RC 100C?

At 5600K, the bare light output is 3,650 lux at 1 metre. With the included 45° mini reflector fitted, the light output increases to 11,000 lux at the same distance. For a fixture this size, that is a strong output, making it practical as a key light for interviews, an accent light for product work, or a controlled source for smaller spaces.

How can the RC 100C be powered on location?

The light supports multiple power inputs. It can run from an optional AC-to-DC adapter, via USB-C with up to 140W PD power, or from compatible V-mount batteries, including SmallRig mini V-mount models. It also works with select NP-F970 USB-C rechargeable batteries and certain battery grip handles, providing flexibility when mains power is unavailable.

What colour control options are available?

The RC 100C covers a wide CCT range of 2500–10,000K and supports RGB colour control. In addition to standard daylight and tungsten adjustment, it offers HSI, RGBCW and GEL modes, along with over 36,000 colour variations. Twelve built-in lighting effects and four custom presets let you quickly store and recall specific looks.

How accurate is the light for skin tones and grading?

The fixture records CRI 96+, TLCI 98+, SSI 84 at 3200K, and TM-30 values of Rf 94 and Rg 102. In practice, skin tones are reproduced cleanly and consistently, with minimal colour correction required in post. This level of accuracy makes it suitable for interviews, portraits, and branded content where colour fidelity is critical.

How is the light controlled during shooting?

You can adjust settings directly on the unit using the 1.4-inch LCD screen and dual control knobs for brightness and colour changes. Bluetooth control is available through the SmallGoGo app for iOS and Android, allowing wireless adjustment from a phone. For more complex setups, the RC 100C supports DMX control with an optional adapter.
