The Sony FX5 sits between the compact run-and-gun FX3 and the high-end production-ready FX6. It features a newly developed 16.6MP Exmor RS sensor, enabling internal RAW recording, 5K Open Gate capture and reduced rolling shutter thanks to its faster sensor readout. It also supports fast hybrid autofocus with human, animal and bird recognition, alongside more than 15 stops of dynamic range. At launch, it can record up to 4K 120p and 5K 60p, with 5K 120p and 4K 240p arriving in a future firmware update.
