A single HVL-F28RMA mounted on a compatible camera can act as a commander, controlling up to 15 flash or receiver units in five separate groups at distances of up to 35 metres. Multi-flash sync options, including rear-curtain and slow sync, are supported, allowing tailored lighting across complex scenes.

Seamless integration with Sony systems

Flash parameters such as light ratio and compensation can be controlled directly through the camera interface, with settings displayed in the selected camera language. Assigning these controls to custom keys enables real-time adjustments without taking your eye off the viewfinder. Additionally, face detection support allows the flash to intelligently balance output for more natural skin tones, while auto white balance adjustment ensures accurate colour rendition by transmitting colour temperature data to the camera.
