The Tokina 12-24 f4 AT-X 124AF Pro DX II Canon fit Lens is exclusively designed for use with SLR cameras. The version "II" incorporates a motor that is built into the lens itself, which gives it the capability to autofocus with all Canon DSLR cameras. The built-in motor makes focusing quieter and more responsive. The Tokina 12-24 f4 AT-X AF PR lens provides a super wide-angle zoom range, ideal for the tightest of spaces, as well as for landscape photography. It also benefits from improved multi-coating technology, which helps to reduce reflections that can cause flare and ghosting. Two Aspherical elements are incorporated in the lens design to correct spherical aberrations and it also incorporates internal focusing to prevent deterioration of the optical quality at close range. Equivalent focal length in 35mm terms when used on a digital camera is 18-36mm. The Tokina 12-24 f4 AT-X AF PRO DX II is NOT recommended for 35mm film or digital FX "full-frame" SLR cameras.
